Warith obviously dismantled Elijah`s business group because it was a laundering front. It took me awhile to see this......afterall who would dismantle "profitable businesses'.

I went exploring The South Side saturday. It`s interesting how derlict 63rd street looks these days. What`s even more interesting is how close the U. of C is to "The Hood". I can see the power-brokers at The U as well as across the city wanting to control Jeff via the university. They obviously saw him as a front much like Henry Ford or The Rockefellers or The Yamotos saw various underworld elements in their times.

Yes but they didn't count on him believing so strongly in his ability to influence people to believe they were more than their present circumstances.

Removing Jeff served the same purpose as removing Ray Washington or Tookie. It`s too bad that they didn`t have the maturity to see beyond this scheme.

So tell me about Jeff`s business interests?

My cousin used to the Blackstone dress code....Chuck Taylors, Black leather jacket, khakis back at the time I didn`t know it was Blackstone gear. This was about 1968 in Pittsburgh.

It`s interesting that the Crips or Bloods never got this type of sponsorship notable exception of T. Rodgers group via Jim Brown. There`s an interesting connection that I totally missed until now. Hmmmmmmmm.
