On January 18, 1950, "Club Oaks Enterprises" was established as a amusement
enterprise and business, with equal shares held by partners Stephen Welch and Joseph Vasquez.

Throughout 1951, starting in June, Vasquez showed up as a partner in the Banker's
Club at 321 Highland Avenue in San Bernardino, along with H.D. Allison and
Tom Eubanks. They filed a "Dissolution of Partnership" on June 4, 1951 and
only H.D. Allison and Ben McFarland remained as partners in the Banker's
Club. By December 28, 1951 he had filed a "Dissolution of Partnership" from
H.D. Allison, and had filed a Fictitious Business Name for the Banker's Club
in his name only by April of 1952. Vasquez listed his home address as 4266 N. E Street, San Bernardino.

The Banker's Club was a "retail food and liquor business located at 321
Highland Avenue, in San Bernardino" when it was first established in
1949, under partnership of Gus Keramides, Harold Carr, and James Malamis.
The three above named men started the club, and by 1951 had transferred ownership to Ben McFarland.

Vasquez Pleads Not Guilty
Joseph G. Vasquez, owner of Club Oaks, a resort and. motel in Waterman canyon, appeared briefly in Superior Court to plead innocent to a Grand Jury indictment charging him with conspiracy to maintain a gambling house. Superior Judge Edward P. Fogg set the case 'for trial Jan. 6. Vasquez, 55, was one of eight men indicted last summer after sheriff's officers raided a plush gambling casino in the mountains near Club Oaks. Four others will stand trial with Vasquez while three are still at large and believed to have fled to the east coast. David London, head bartender at the Arrowhead Springs hotel, was also charged, along with Vasquez, specifically with funneling patrons to the gambling house.

Great question Jo. Joe Jr., was an employee and probable investor in Fertitta Colony Partners, LLC., the entity comprised of Frank III and Lorenzo Fertitta, cousins of the Golden Nuggets Tilman Fertitta of Billion Dollar Buyer fame. It is unclear who all of the stakeholders are in the business which owns Stations Casinos. The brothers purchased the assets founded by their brother in 1975 after years of toiling in legendary venues like "the Stardust, Sahara and Fremont," casinos. I am sure you recognize the link between Frank Fertitta Jr., and Joe Vasquez Sr., who had a stake in the Stardust in the early '60s along with the Rotundos. The Fertitta brothers primary partner and financial backer is Richard Salesman of Colony Capital. Colony Capital is a company with deep pockets and political clout counting Thomas Barrack and links to Robert M. Bass, nephew of the notorious Texas oil man Sid Richardson.
