Facing increased scrutiny of its finances the Vatican has been identified for the first time as a "possible centre for money laundering... activity." A report issued by the State Department's International Narcotics Control Strategy group lists the Vatican along with 68 countries suspected of money laundering or other financial crimes. Of primary concern is the large amount of cash the Vatican receives each year in addition to concerns over independent anti money laundering legislation introduced last year by Pope Benedict XVI. Can the Vatican stave off attempts to close those wholes without having its reputation sullied for its association with illicit currency exchange and money laundering? As for the relationship between San Marino and the Vatican City, certainly there is a connection.

Along with my favorite.......Campione! HAIL CAMPIONE, HAIL CAMPIONE! A little OFC humor. I think your previous assesment that Campione is a sink for the CIA has a lot of merit. Which is why Sam has ignored it.

I was in B and N and found a recent book about Gianni Agnelli called "Mondo Agnelli" Haven`t had a chance to read it yet. I felt it was relative to this topic. So did Agnelli set at the TR directors table? You knew I had to ask you. Agnelli has all the characteristics of a TR director.
