Alonzo Ester Sr., best known as the owner of the Dynasty Restaurant and Lounge located at 206 S. Locust Street in Inglewood was shot and killed as he sat behind the wheel of a white Rolls Royce Phantom outside his home in the 4200 block of Hillcrest Drive in the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw area during the early morning hours of May 13. Media reports immediately were focused more so upon Ester's opulent lifestyle which included clothes, women and two $300,000 vehicles than the contacts and connections he fostered to a nefarious web of businessmen, political leaders and gang members, involved in shadowy business transactions that featured a money laundering ring that fronted a drug and weapons operation. The native of Shreveport, Louisiana had resided in southern California for nearly 50 years at the time of his death. A street hustler whose early real estate investments allowed him to move from the Leimert Park area to Baldwin Hills after his previous home burned down in a suspicious fire more than a decade ago. In cases such as these a trusted figure is usually involved and one such figure is a club bouncer and former Ester bodyguard known as Double OO. According to Double OO, he noted a strange car watching the club days prior to Ester's fatal shooting but apparently failed to notify his boss of his suspicions. Ester was seemingly aware that someone had been watching his movements for sometime and according to statements made by other members of his security detail at the Dynasty Restaurant, they 'as a matter of routine,' would follow Ester as he drove home.

Many 'friends' and associates have stated publicly that Ester was a man without enemies but if true this would place him in very rare company. According to Anthony Jett who a man who identified himself as Ester's godson, Ester was long involved "in the streets." It goes without saying that men without enemies don't need security detail and legitimate businessmen aren't usually executed in gangland fashion. Nonetheless, an interesting side note to the story is the lack of attention paid to a $50,000 reward approved by the Los Angeles City Council for information leading to a conviction in the case. The award was announced by L.A., Councilman Bernard Parks citing a request by the LAPD for the action due to a lack of leads despite people whom they call witnesses. It would also appear that the decision to offer the reward was made in response to comments made by Robert Jones of the L.A., Civil Rights whose televised call for an LAPD internal affairs investigation into the killing failed to spark media interest but launched Parks and the LAPD to offer the seizable reward as a diversionary tactic. There is undoubtably a desire to see this case buried as quickly as possible for reasons the media seems uninterested in reporting. The question is what if anything is there to hide?

Quite possibly the answer can be found in Ester's business connections which in addition to the Dynasty Restaurant and Lounge, include Hollywood Trading Retail (HTC Retail) Company, a clothing store located at 4474 W. Adams Boulevard in Central Los Angeles 'southwest corner of Somerset Drive of which Ester was listed as President. The owner of HTC Retail Co., is Zip Stevenson. Stevenson is the owner and founder of Hollywood Trading Company and Denim Doctors, two separate businesses operating from 7383 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. Stevenson enjoys a close working relationship with Andrea Bra owner of LCB Company srl via Meucci, 19 37036 San Martino B.A. (Verona), Italy. With the influx of heroin flowing into the Los Angeles area, is it possible that Ester was involved in a dispute over finances or a drug deal. You may or may not be aware of the connections of Giuseppe Gambino and Matteo Romano who were twice charged with using clothing stores to import heroin from Italy to the US. Both men like the Manhattan born Stevenson, were from the New York area. It also goes without saying that one of the ranking figures in the Los Angeles crime family is young Tommy Gambino who was tied to the brother of former President Bill Clinton. Gambino is the son of former Cherry Hill New Jersey mob boss Rosario Gambino who was a noted 80s heroin trafficker.

So this ties into that plane in San Bernandino as well as Norton AFB. You see those various street gangs being used like Ester and the club manager. Hmmmmm

So who ultimately controls this operation? or is this a separate laundering operation?

You would be correct in your assumption. Who ultimately controls this operation, the powers that be in the Glasshouse.
