People do not understand Fiato because they can only go by what a writer puts to paper. John L Smith is good at what he does, that is write for the LVRJ...
I like John and he has written about me in his paper. He gets things wrong or he puts his own slant on a story.
John DiMattia was never a made guy or sought after. John is a weak pussy.
Always broke.
John Bronco was all talk and nothing upstairs.
The real LCN is gone so we have the past.

Is the problem with John Smith, or was there a problem with the story he was told? I suspect Smith took notes, conducted taped interviews at the very least with Fiato. I don't recall Fiato taking offense to what Smith had written but what had been edited out of the book. Now if Smith wrote what Fiato said verbatum without checking his sources then that is bad journalism. On the other hand, this was supposed to be an autobiography so just how much of the blame falls on the authors shoulders as opposed to Fiato. You would think Fiato had a chance to review the final draft before it went to print and if so then all that is contained within was there to be corrected before the book hit the shelves.

It's not a question of having a problem with Fiato so much as some of the wild and improbable claims that are made in the book. Wink

Kenji,
If you're friends with Anthony and his brother, maybe you could ask him for answers to some of the questions asked here, you know, clear things up. Like the Forex thing. Seems anybody who brushed up against that got indicted, all accept Anthony who claims in his book to be the messenger on one particular day. Why wasn't he hauled in like the rest?
